Jez Fang
聲音藝術家、田野錄音師。Dj ,台灣電子樂隊 KbN 靈魂人物之一,作品風格多元多變,創作歌曲曾收錄侯孝賢導演執導電影 - <最好的時光>,爾後進入實驗劇場、藝術空間,參與多種即興創作。
近年專注於發展腦波意識及聲響創作,以音樂作為人文與自然、感知能量的交流中介,透過採集而來的聲音素材、結合呼吸與電子合成音的組合,打造餘韻無窮的沈浸式感官體驗,改變聽者對於聲音質地的想像。
現以個人名義創作,致力於帶領工作坊、現場即興、實驗音樂演出,展現其藝術形態的多樣可能與豐沛的創作能量。
Jez Fang, a sound artist and DJ, stands as a pivotal figure in the Taiwanese electronic music scene, notably as a key member of the “KbN” band. With a longstanding identity as an electronic sound and rhythm creator, Jez has crafted diverse works, including songs featured in the film “<Three Times>" directed by Hou Hsiao-hsien. Venturing into experimental theater and art spaces, he actively engages in various improvisational creations.
Since 2011, Jez has curated exhibitions and digital art installations, seamlessly integrating the concept of sonic storytelling into diverse project works. As a member of the Wang Yu-Jung and Time Band, he released albums such as "<Decaying Garden>" and "<Primitive Longing>," both earning the Golden Melody Award for Best Folk Album. In 2020, he received the Kaohsiung Art Award for Image and Technology Media Arts by the project “June Orb”.
In recent years, Jez has dedicated himself to developing consciousness through brainwave exploration and field sound composition. Using music as a medium for human, natural, and perceptual energy exchange, he combines collected sound materials with breath and electronic synthesized tones to create immersive sensory experiences with endless reverberations. Now working under his own name, Jez Fang is committed to leading workshops, live improvisations, and experimental music performances, showcasing the diverse possibilities and abundant creative energy of his artistic expression.
Kayo Lu
NGH認證催眠師、藝術治療師。
畢業於英國Essex大學藝術史暨策展學系。十年來從事藝術領域工作,曾任藝評暨策展人。近年創作轉以文字為介,參與聲音領域的演出。
致力於整合藝術治療、催眠療癒與正念的練習。深信人們內在都有未曾啟用的智慧與知識寶庫,若能喚醒並善加運用潛意識,便將跳脫框架、發揮生命無限的潛能。擅於藉由詩文和故事,引領聽者進入催眠狀態,喚醒受(意識)壓抑的情感,幫助人們拾回內在的力量。
所撰寫文章曾發表於《典藏ARTouch》、MotTimes 及《亞洲藝術新聞CANS雜誌》個人專欄「Kayo 藝事錄 Unseen Existence」等。策展作品則以香港雨傘運動為題, “(in)tension: One Country Two Systems”,舉辦於英國 ArtExchange藝廊,為其代表作。
Kayo LU, a multifaceted artist, is a poet, art critic, and curator, renowned for her exploration of memory, trauma, collective subconscious, and environmental issues. In recent years, she has shifted her creative focus to poetry, engaging in captivating sound performances while dedicating herself to ongoing research and practice in art therapy.
Her portfolio boasts insightful discussions on looted art during the Nazi era, human rights movements, notably within Taiwan's “AMA Museum - museum for Peace and Women's Rights," and a profound exploration of historical narratives through memory writing. Notably, she sheds light on Mao Zedong's silenced history in modern China.
In her role as a curator, Kayo orchestrated "(in)tension: One Country Two Systems," a thought-provoking exhibition that revolves around the Hong Kong Umbrella Movement. This impactful event took place at the prestigious ArtExchange gallery in the United Kingdom, solidifying Kayo's influence in the contemporary art scene.
